About Sentinel Shield

Sentinel Shield is an AI compliance and security screening platform for teams that build or deploy artificial intelligence.

The EU AI Act is now in force in phases, and organisations of every size are being asked to show where their AI systems sit in the risk framework and what obligations follow from that. Most teams do not have a compliance function and do not yet know whether their product counts as minimal, transparency, high-risk, or prohibited. Sentinel Shield exists to answer that question quickly and in plain language.

Our free Sentinel Scan asks six structured questions about your system — its purpose, whether it makes or informs decisions about people, what data it handles, where its users are, and its role in the value chain — and returns an initial screening outcome with the areas of the Act that most likely apply to you. It is an orientation tool, not a legal opinion, and we say so plainly in every report.

The app is built for AI developers, product managers, founders, and risk owners at small and mid-sized companies placing AI on the EU market, including teams outside Europe whose systems reach EU users. If you are building with model providers, shipping an internal tool that touches HR or credit decisions, or simply trying to work out whether the Act applies to you, the scan gives you a starting position you can take to a lawyer or an auditor.

Sentinel Shield is designed and built by the Sentinel Shield team: a small group of engineers and compliance practitioners who work with AI products every day. We keep the screening engine versioned and review it against the published text of the regulation, and we are open about the limits of what an automated screen can tell you.
